I am mighty fed up with this argument from cagers. Until you, exclusively, pay for the road (yes cagers I am talking to you) you don’t get to say who has a right to use it.

Plan better dim-wit. Even though I ride a bike I’m never late for work. If you’re going to get fired for being 5 minutes late, you’re probably a screw up, and will get fired soon anyway. Try not to get anyone killed because you’re a screw up & angry at the wrong person because of it.
what if dude had to get to work in 5 mins or he was going to get fired and your in front of him going 10 MPH on your stupid little bike. i would consider that ruining his live if he slows down.

I don’t live in Florida. Generally it is illegal to ride on the sidewalk unless it is marked as a bike path. There is exactly one of those in the city I live in.
wrong not in Florida and not in most states this is how it goes when a biker is in the road he has the rights of a driver when i biker is on the sidewalk he don’t so most of you are but hurt and feel like you need to be on the road tell me how in the hell is riding on the sidewalk not safer then riding right next to the damn car if theres a wreck your dead point blank and the driver of the car gets blamed what a shame GET OFF THE ROAD point is you should not use the road if there is no bike lane

A person propelling a bicycle upon and along a sidewalk, or across a roadway upon and along a crosswalk, shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian and shall give an audible signal before overtaking and passing such pedestrian.
At a signalized intersection, a sidewalk rider must obey the instructions of any applicable pedestrian control signal. That is, he may start to cross a roadway in a crosswalk only during a steady Walk phase, if one is displayed. If no pedestrian signal is provided, the cyclist may proceed in accordance with the signal indications for the parallel roadway traffic flow (Section 316.075, F.S.)
Since a cyclist riding on a sidewalk does not have the duties (or rights) of a driver, he may ride in either direction. (However, it is safer to ride in the direction of traffic, since drivers do not expect cyclists to come from the other direction at driveways and crosswalks. Crash risk is 3 to 4 times as great for sidewalk riders who ride facing roadway traffic as for sidewalk riders who ride in the direction of traffic.)

In Florida and most every city is only illegal when there is not a bike lane point is get out the road when there is no bike lane law clearly states if your moving at speeds of over 20 miles on a bike use the road the two inch’s between the white line and the sidewalk is not a bike lane its the side of the road not all roads have bike lanes when it don’t USE THE SIDEWALK when it has one use it

Idiot. There is no “car” lane. It’s for all vehicles including bicycles. Sidewalks are for pedestrians. Bone up on the laws regarding vehicles & share the road.

Tell Airheaded , negative minded automobile drives to pay attention and share the freakin road with everyone else ( Its not just for them, hard painted surfaces)…. The roads are for ALL US people humanbeings
Im riding a bike, so naturally that means Ive never driven a car in my life…honestly, if you’re having to do swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid a biker then you or he is doing something wrong. Just like you have bad drivers, you have bad bicyclists.
Won’t help when the car hits you before you assess them a threat. If you rode around with the weapon brandishing the weapon openly, well people are going to call 911 and have the cops take that respect away.
I agree with you somewhat, most cyclists never seem to have working lights or mirrors. I think they’d be better off on a 50cc scooter instead, at least they’d have lights, mirrors, and a horn as well.
Me, on a bike, I have at least twice the situational awareness of a car, even when you don’t have the radio on. I can hear everything around me. Nothing is obstructing my vision. And get this, I can turn my head when I need to.
More often than not, cyclists are not the ones causing accidents. We are the vulnerable ones on the road, not drivers.
